Irene Xochitl Urrutia is a Mexican/Canadian curator and researcher.
Her research focus is on materialist posthumanism and plant-human relationships in artistic practice. Her curatorial work currently centers on media art and vegetal art, and she is particularly interested in contemporary art’s ecological, political, and epistemological possibilities. As a cultural worker, she strives to foster accessibility and decentralization.
