MATTER OF TIME Project: LUCIDUM
LUCIDUM is a result of an experiment made by the artist . Here the artist is using DVDs, objects that are becoming today nothing more than mere memories. Through this piece she sheds the light on the advancement that the world has reached making us no longer need certain gadgets and creating electronic waste. This artwork is an essay to give them a second chance and tried to create “life” out of “death”.
The artwork consists of upcycled DVDs put together in a composition allowing the participants to explore its different interactions with light as a result of their interesting and diverse physical aspects and components.
GUIDING INTERESTS
Haifa describes her process as a means to give life to forgotten, wasted objects in some sort of recycling/upcycling process.
