GUIDING INTERESTS
After receiving her first video camera in 2004, Gudrun Barenbrock – who studied fine arts at the Art Academy Münster, Germany – quickly transitioned her artistic medium from painting to filming. Since then, she has been collecting digital impressions of her environment. Always searching for the unseen, she explores her video archive, which has been growing over time, for new forms, perspectives and interplay. Through editing, layering, and juxtaposition, she thus creates new visual worlds that engage in constant correspondence with both — the exhibition site and the viewer.
